It All Starts Here...

You are probably aware of the rate of suicide around the world today? Have you ever wondered why people take their own lives? Reports on some suicide cases across the world borders show that the following are among the reasons for this tragic act: frustration, heartbreak, threat, pain, poverty, protest etc. Now, each time you hear or read about suicide incidents, do you blame the victims for what they have done or empathize with them? The truth is no one is justified well enough to take his own life. The most tragic fact about suicide is that people between the 18-40 demography suffer the tragedy most.

The emerging truth about suicide victims or those who subject themselves to below-human life as a result of the aforementioned reasons have one thing in common; they all lost faith in their lives. Any man who must live above the vicissitudes of life must be on the purpose-driven lane. Purpose gives us vision, passion, energy, hope, perseverance and faith for life.
Your life never starts at birth, it starts when you discover a reason to live for, whose drive and passion overwhelm the force of any unpleasant circumstance that pushes towards giving up on life. No matter how complicated you find life, you must convince yourself that there is an ultimate ground for you, which hands you a right to life. If you have come through sicknesses, accidents, epidemics, and many other circumstances that could have ended your life, it only implies that you are an asset to this world. Remember, if you faint in the days of adversity your strength is weak.

REFLECTION POINT:
Purpose is the mission that makes life worth living. Does what you do now or where you are now give you the feeling of worthiness? If no, there are chances you are not living out your purpose or you have not discovered it.
TASK:
Spend some time today thinking to find out those things you do or want to do that leave you with a feeling of worthiness. These may be pointers to your destination.

Quote of the Day:

One of the major discoveries you can make in life is the discovery of self. Nothing can replace it.                    -
